Blizzard's hit game Overwatch is rocking the video game community, storming onto PS4 and Xbox One consoles and Windows PCs around the world in the past couple of weeks.

Now it looks like an update affecting gameplay for a couple of Overwatch characters may be pending, while rumors are swirling over possibly two new heroes joining the cast later through Overwatch's first DLC.

First, let's address Overwatch's first patch, possibly rolling out to players in the coming weeks. According to PCGamesN, the first update for Overwatch will nerf one major character while buffing another, if the details on the impending patch gleaned in a post from lead Overwatch hero designer Geoff Goodman on Battle.net are correct.

Nerfs and Buffs

Goodman said that McCree would probably get taken down a notch, especially when it comes to McCree's combo using the flashbang and peacemaker, which has been found to be devastating and possibly unfair by the community. As a result, Goodman mused, his Fan The Hammer skill will likely get some degree of the nerf treatment in the first patch.

On the other side of things D.Va will likely get some kind of buffing, though it's unclear whether that will take the form of higher damage or better movement capabilities. There's a patch scheduled for the end of June to bring back Overwatch competitive play, so that's when the changes for both of these characters could be coming to your system.

New DLC Heroes

Meanwhile, rumors continue to brew over the possible addition of two new heroes in an upcoming Overwatch DLC: Sombra and Liao. According to TheBitBag, Sombra is rumored to be a support sniper, wielding a high-powered rifle.

Liao, meanwhile, has been found in Blizzard material leaks about Overwatch's founding members. He's speculated to have a connection to Mei-Ling Zhou through Chinese heritage, but not much else is known about the possible playable character.
