Chespirito and his family have denied rumors that the comedian is very sick by sharing a picture on Twitter as proof.

But the rumors don't seem to die down. New reports said that not only is Chespirito in stable health, he has dedicated himself to painting, El Universal noted.

"Roberto is drawing because, aside from all his qualities, directing, filmmaker, composer, he also draws and paints," his collaborator Augusto Rattoni said. "Now he's drawing what he sees: landscapes, home interiors and faces."

Chespirito wakes up early, showers and then rests because showering makes him tired. The rest of the day he does crossword puzzles, and he likes to watch documentaries, some TV shows and soccer matches on TV.

Chespirito himself also wrote on Twitter about his health.

"Alive and handsome, which is increasingly more difficult," he said.

Before that, he explained that he was very happy because his oldest daughter had come to visit him.

One thing that hasn't changed is that Chespirito is not on great terms with "El Chavo del 8" co-star Kiko, whose real name is Carlos Villagran.

"I tried to speak with him," he said. "I called him, but he wouldn't take my calls. So I opted to never call him again."

Villagran said there's no hostility between the two, but he did say that Chespirito finds himself in delicate health because of cigarettes.

"When he was young, he smoked boxes of cigarettes that didn't have a filter," he said.

Chespirito is the sole owner of "El Chavo del 8," so none of the other actors get royalties off of reruns.

"He has the rights," he said. "He is the sole owner. I don't receive five cents for anything. He acted poorly. We were hungry to succeed, and he became the owner of everything."
