"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice's jailed husband fears he could face deportation back to his native Italy whenever he is released from custody.

Joe Giudice is rumored to be miserable in the early days of his 41-month prison sentence on fraud charges, and making the situation all the more difficult to deal with is the prospect of the reality TV's star de deported.

"He's worried sick about having to leave Teresa and the girls forever," said a source.

Joe has Become Model Prisoner

With that in mind, Joe is reported to have transformed into the model prisoner at the Fort Dix facility where he is being held, all just months after reportedly turning himself in to prison officials heavily intoxicated.

"Joe doesn't want to cause any problems, or act in way that could be used against him," a source added. "He doesn't want to stand out."

The 44-year-old father of four young daughters is also reported to have scored the top-flight protection services of a group of "Mob related inmates."

Word is Joe is being held in a maximum security area of the prison, having been assigned there as punishment for checking into the facility in less than ideal shape.

Teresa Left to Spend 44th Birthday Without Joe

Meanwhile, Teresa was recently forced to celebrate her 44th birthday without her husband being part of the festivities. She spent the day surrounded by her daughters and other family members.

Teresa recently paid her husband his first visit, with the two spending a "very emotional" day together.

Prior to Joe's incarceration, Teresa served nearly a yearlong sentence on fraud related charges similar to those her husband was also convicted of. She was released just before Christmas in 2015.

Since then, she has rejoined the cast of "RHONJ," where she is reported to be commanding a salary of as $2 million per season.
