Jeremy Lin is hoping to find something he's never had during his NBA summer of free agency.

"I've played six years in the NBA," said Lin. "I've played for five different teams. I've played for two D-League teams, so seven cities in six years. I'm tired of boxes, I'm tired of moving companies and I want to find a home."

Coming off the kind of steady season he had with the Charlotte Hornets, the 28-year-old veteran point guard will have more than his share of would be takers.

Lin Among Most Highly Sought After Free Agents

Short of Kevin Durant, Al Horford, Dwight Howard, Joakim Noah and Hassan Whiteside, Lin arguably rates as the most sought after commodity of this summer's free agent class.

Joining the Hornets, the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and Brooklyn Nets have all expressed varying levels of interest in Lin, who earlier this month officially announced that he was opting out of the final year of the $4.3 million, two-year pact he inked with the Hornets last summer.

Word is Lin has already arranged to meet with at least three teams in his hometown of Palo Alto, California once the free agency period officially kicks off on July 1.

Lin averaged 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3 assists in a mostly backup role for the Hornets last season and is convinced he's capable of much more.

"I want to see how good I can become," he said. "I'm 27, and an athlete's prime, or at least in the NBA, your prime is usually 27-30. That's when you kind of peak physically (and) mentally and that's where most players perform their best."

Lin, Coach Mike D'antoni Reuniting?

One of the teams most prominently thought to be on Lin's radar are the Rockets, who recently tabbed veteran Mike D'Antoni as their next coach.

He and Lin go way back, having teamed up for a 25 game stretch with the Knicks in 2012 where Lin averaged 18 points and 8 assists to fuel the era of "Linsanity."

Lin is also on record in asserting that he would be open to a return to Madison Square Garden and the Knicks.

"It's not looking likely, because they just traded for Derrick Rose," he recently said of the prospect of rejoining the Knicks. "But I will say that ever since I left, I've always been open to going back and I still am. Never say never, that's the one thing in the NBA, never say never."
