The Spanish league is known as the league of offense while the Premier League is widely known for its more defensive nature.

But goalscoring remains a hallmark of the EPL nonetheless with a plethora of major goalscorers showcasing their talents all across England. While no one is likely to score 40 goals (or even top 30), there are bound to be some players running away with the goalscoring honors. Here is a look at the top contenders to win the English Golden Boot.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The biggest star to hit the Premier League this summer is also likely to be the biggest contender to score the most goals. Fresh off his best offensive season in France, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already proclaimed that he will be a God at the club that Cristiano Ronaldo once dominated. He just score 38 goals in France but can certainly score a good 20-30 in England.

Prediction: 26 goals.

Harry Kane

The top scorer last season is only 22-years-old and playing for a team on the rise. He had a horrid Euro 2016 but part of that comes down to poor usage and a woeful team around him. He has 46 goals across his last two seasons and should be good for another 25 this year.

Prediction: 24 goals

Sergio Aguero

The Argentine was dominant for Manchester City, scoring more frequently than both Kane and Jamie Vardy. He will be the offensive focal point of a team led by Pep Guardiola which should allow for even greater opportunities for him. Robert Lewandowski flourished under Guardiola so expect the same for Aguero if he can stay healthy.

Prediction: 29 goals

Jamie Vardy

Can the Leicester star do it again? One year after shocking the world and leading his side to the Premier League title, there is more pressure on Vardy to do it again. He will be turning 30 halfway through the season and could find himself with a less-effective team this time around.

Prediction: 20 goals
