Fitness Blogger Kelsey Wells encouraged people to not focus on the numbers on the scale, but on the progress they achieve during their workouts.

Her blog, “My Sweat Life,” details her fitness journey where she encourages people to, “get out and sweat.” She features images of her results from using Kayla Itsine’s BBG (from baby bump to beach bod) program.

More than 10 million women are following Itsine’s fitness program and using her recipes.

In a recent Instagram post, Wells tells her followers to ditch the numbers on the scale because at 140 pounds, she is her happiest and just five pounds lighter than where she was at the start of her fitness journey.

“SCREW THE SCALE,” Wells said in the Instagram post. “YOU GUYS. PLEASEEEEEE STOP GETTING HUNG UP ON THE NUMBER ON THE STUPUD SCALE! PLEASE STOP THINKING YOUR WEIGHT EQUALS YOUR PROGRESS AND FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING PLEASE STOP LETTING YOR WEIGHT HAVE ANY AFFECT WHATSOEVER ON YOUR SELF ESTEEM, like I used to.”

Her followers commented on the post with words of encouragement to others around them.

"F*ck the scales!!!!! If you check out my post from a few days ago I weigh the same now as I did at my 'heaviest' but look totally different - the scales do not rule - we do!" User @katecross said.

"I've stopped it and feel loads better I was so miserable and was obsessed getting weighed!! We'll do it together diva," User @michaela3785 said encouraging User @mouldez.

Wells is not the only person out there encouraging Instagram followers to get out there and sweat.

Fitness Journey on Social Media

Wells is not the only person out there encouraging Instagram followers to get out there and sweat.

Instagram User @stayfit001 details his fitness journey and encourages others to join him by eating right and never giving up. He urges people to get out to the gym and offers weekly training sessions.

Another Instagram User, @sabinemilien, details her journey and posts videos of her activities including training sessions with The North Face Mountain Athletics in New York City.

"It's hard work, but nothing easy is worth doing and it's a lot better when we get after it together," North Face said in a recent Instagram post.

The company gives free one-hour sessions twice a week, rain or shine.
