“Modern Family” returns to ABC in fall 2016 with more hilarious scenes and warm gatherings by the big family that brings you diversity and culture.

Cam and Mitch

Season 8 will pick up with Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) and Lily Tucker-Pritchett (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) returning home from their summer vacation in Kansas City.

How did Mitch deal with being a “farm boy” for an entire summer? And did Cam’s grandmother ever accept their relationship?

Haley and Andy

Haley Dunphy (Sarah Hyland) broke up with Andy (Adam Patrick DeVine) in Season 7 in order to let him leave town for his dream job. Although he was the first boy she ever truly loved, she wanted to let him go because she loved him enough to put him first.

Will she ever get over him? Will they try the long distance thing?

Please do not tell us that Haley will move backwards and run back into the arms of her on again off again high school fling Dylan (Reid Ewing)!

Claire and Jay

Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) and Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill) will have to deal with their balance of powers at the office now that she is running the show.

Jay left his business to his daughter when he retired last season. He was so bored at home that he asked to help out around the office.

Yet, he is so used to being the boss that he hates asking anyone for help. He would not even ask the assistant to help him print copies for Claire when he knew nothing about copy machines. Even worse, Jay does not think that Claire can handle everything on her own.

Will he finally let go of the throne and let his daughter take full control of the closet company?

Claire and Phil

Ever since Claire has been out in the work field after 20 years of being a stay at home mom, she and Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) have run into some issues. At one point, he thought that he had turned into an “invisible house wife.”

How will they balance their relationship in Season 8 with Claire being a new boss?

Meanwhile, the popular show is a fan favorite. This year, “Modern Family” has been nominated for four different Emmys; Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Cast for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (half-hour) and Animation.

Also, actor Ty Burrell was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

“Modern Family” returns to ABC on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. Tune in for more fun and laughs.
