It looks like there is  a tight competition between mobile manufacturers to get their hands at gears, but it's the same usual contenders that are on the list. It's a battle between the biggest names which is Apple Watch 2 vs Samsung Gear S3. The two have their own distinct and unique features that has left the consumers at a difficult choice.

The two has been making consumers happy with their wearables, as they help users deal with fitness and personal health issues. Nevertheless, they seemed to be preferred over the other for their own functionality and wearability. As per the record of The Inquirer, we got a few of the comparisons between the two:

Specs:

When it comes to processor, storage, display screen, memory, LTE, battery capacity and other aspects, the two differ in their own terms and has their own pros and cons. But, there's something to differentiate between the two, Apple Watch 2 has improved graphics and it has brightest display Apple has ever shipped. On the other hand, Samsung disclose that its has in store a 380 mAh battery capable of going up to four days.

Software:

Simply put, they both run on watch, but there won't be too many apps to customize them. They don't have much developer support on their phone yet. Though, Samsung has promised to build iOS support and its supporting Samsung Pay. There is a lot of upgrade on Apple Watch 3 too with its GPS, fitness tracker and Apple Pay.

Compatibility:

It looks like Gear S3 came out top of Apple here, and with that said, the Gear S3 will work with updated Android devices and with iPhone. As for Apple, they are only compatible with Apple devices.

Other Features:

As per the International Business Times, they are both water resistant,  Gear S3 coming in with an IP68 rating for the classic and an IP68 plus MIL-STD-810G certifications for the frontier. On the other side of the fence, the Apple Watch Series 2 is swim-proof, and it can survive underwater up to 164 feet.

Price and Availability:

The Apple Watch 2 will start rolling out from September 16 and go up for preorder on Sep 9 with a starting price of USD 369. And, as for Samsung it has not revealed the availability of Gear S3 yet.
