On the World day of the Fight against cancer, Paraguay Health Ministry has reported 408 cases of breast cancer, in one more than in all of 2015.Though; the mortality rate was 10.1 percent per 10,000 women.

The diagnosed breast cancer cases in 2016 are 408 have already crossed the number of 2015 when one less number was registered.

"The mortality rate for breast cancer in Paraguay is 10.1 per 100,000 women" said by Dr.Lida Sosa, general director of health programs at the Health Ministry."

"The first critical step in the management of breast cancer is to establish the diagnosis based pathological examination. A range of tests is necessary to determine the spread of the tumor", is according to World Health Organization.

SOSA advises to every woman must do an exam of the breasts 10 days after menstruation tries to monitor her breasts so that they are able to detect any abnormality that can be spotted. A woman must go to a healthy assistance center so that proper diagnosis is to happen. The woman who crossed more than 40 years most risk in breast cancer should have mammogram "once a year", reported by Latin American Herald Tribune.

A woman must go to one of the three specialized centers, before proper diagnosis, reported by SOSA.

However, public Health Minister Antonio Barrios assured to the woman that Paraguay will continue to expand its service to protect the disease that hits public and woman so hard, reported by Agencia EFE

At the event, Pan American Health Organization Representative Carlos Castillo blamed the woman for the lack of knowledge about the disease. This is still an important obstacle in Paraguay and throughout the region to the early recognition of breast cancer.

As per the WHO report, 14 million new cases and 8.2 million cancers related death happens in 2012. The new cancer patients are expected to rise by about 70% over the next decade.
