Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Redford will be one of the Hollywood celebrities that will attend the 22nd Conference of the Parties which will be on November 7-18, 2016 and will be held in the Moroccan city of Marrakech, as Latin American Herald Tribute reports.

According to one official of COP22 says that Dicaprio was invited by the organizers of the Conference for the premiere of Dicaprio's new documentary climate change "Before The Flood" in which Dicaprio will meet the statesmen from the different countries to promote and raise awareness about the ecology.

According to HollyWood Reporter, Dicaprio says that it is the Climate change that is the most critical problem that this world faces besides the election day. The actor was known for his dedication and commitment to keep the environment safe and he is set to take part of the upcoming COP22.

Robert Redford is a producer, director, and environmental activist that is also set to attend the COP22 in Marrakech. Last year before the COP21, Redford went to visit the UN Headquarters in New York to discuss a convention wherein Kyoto Protocol will succeed on reducing greenhouse gas discharge. Robert Redford is known for his devotion to serving his planet.

A famous quote from Redford says that the environment should be put in the category of the national security. the defense of the resources is important just significant as defense in abroad.

Hakima El Haite, COP22 Special Envoy and Morocco's outgoing Minister of  the environment has posted a photo on her Twitter Account confirming Akon's participation at COP22, earlier this year. In the year 2014, The Senegalese-American pop singer launched a project, 'Akon Lighting Africa' which seeking the supply of electricity and solar-powered equipment for the 40 countries in Africa by 2020.

It is also confirmed that Diego Armando Maradona an Argentinian Football Legend will attend the opening ceremony and it is for Paul David Hewson who is the lead singer of the rock band U2 or also known Bono is expected to attend and participate in the festivities of the event.
