Cara Delevingne's absence in this year's Victoria's Secret Fasion Show wasn't due to rejection, the supermodel herself said. The 24 year-old actress took to Instagram and said that her absence was due to filming commitments.

Cara also stated the company's casting director Edward Razek, who dismissed claims that she was rejected by the brand due to being too bloated, Mail Online has reported. Later on, she posted a signed letter from Razek himself.

It appeared that British tabloid The Sun published the article about Cara, stating that she was turned away during casting for being too bloated. According to Fashionista, the published article went on to describe exaggerated details, which triggered controversy when it prompted Cara and Victoria's Secret to respond. Razek's letter stated that "The Sun's claims never bothered to fact check with him".

Razek further wrote that the sole reason Cara couldn't join them was because of the movie she was shooting in North Carolina. They even admitted that they tried hard to make Cara's appearance possible, saying that she would've surely made the show better.

Cara captioned with the letter below on Instagram stating: "It's shameless to discuss women's bodies just to sell papers," with the hashtag #bloated. As per the letter, it's clear that Victoria's Secret made all the efforts to secure Cara's appearance for the London show.

In the last paragraph, Razek extended his invitation once again to Cara to join them in Paris on November 30th, even specifying that she no longer needs to undergo casting!

Indeed, The Sun's move to publish said article is only malicious at best. It's only Cara's schedule that prompted her absence from Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and Razek's letter only proves that allegations that she's "bloated" is unfounded.
