It's the time of the year where many are trying to shed those extra pounds to get ready for swimsuit season. Exercise is, of course, very important, but so is what you eat. These 10 foods will help you reach your goals:

This chickpea snack helps fight hunger, and it also balance blood sugar levels. Spinach contains iron, folic acid and vitamin K. Spinach also has disease-fighting antioxidants and other benefits, such as protecting your eyes. Easily get more spinach in your life by swapping out lettuce.

8. Quinoa

This low-calorie food is detoxing and can help with water retention. Celery is 95 percent water, which is absolutely necessary with weight loss.
