Leonardo DiCaprio's private island resort is taking new forms; he is turning his private island into an eco-resort to enhance the biological system of the whole island.

DiCaprio has bought Blackadore Caye, off the coast of Belize in the Atlantic Ocean, about 10 years ago for USD 1.75 million. DiCaprio has revealed his plans to construct an extravagant, eco-friendly resort with the hope that the venture will be "groundbreaking in the environmental movement." By making such plans, DiCaprio has shown himself to be a significant environmental altruist.

According to the New York Times, DiCaprio, an actor and environmental activist spearheaded the endeavor, which will be called "Blackadore Caye, a Restorative Island" and will be opened in 2018.

Inside the bungalows, eco-tech and design elements are being conveyed with an eye towards enhancing the nature of the air, water, and light to advance, in line with the resort's PR turn: "better nutrition, and mental acuity."

Rooms will have circadian lighting, which tweaks the shading/wavelengths of light for the duration of the day to help with your natural sleep and wake cycles: blue in the morning and hotter tones at night, similar to Apple's Night Shift. In addition, a no-fossil-fuel and no-chemical approach is arranged for the resort: everything used to outfit these spaces will likewise be screened.

Moreover, the private island resort  will have rules managing what visitors can and can't bring to the island. Visitors have to take a 15-minute boat ride from San Pedro. Plastic water bottles also  won't be permitted on the island as well.

This reports also anticipates that the resort can create up to USD 200 million in the following 20 years and 400 long-term jobs. Fans and explorers must be patient first until the lot and per-night room rates are reported.
