Samsung Pay hase achieved a lot this year, and it's celebrating its achievement with a new rewards payment program coming this week. But as of now, this is only available for US users, and this is done to show the company's appreciation to a customer who uses Samsung Pay at checkout.

According to Samsung Newsroom, it was launched last year and and driving innovation of the digital wallet experience  in order to help customers slim down their wallet. It has added more than 500 banks and credit unions. Thus it's got a growing number of loyalty, membership and gift cards. Along with this, it also add deals which shows discounts and coupons at nearby stores that users can redeem. Samsung Pay now support in-app payments, and will soon also support online payments.

The rewards seems to working in the same way to the credit card rewards where every time a user makes a payment with samsung Pay, it instantly applies your points towards it. This way, the user may earn double the points. The Samsung Rewards program is in the Samsung Pay app that will let you redeem these points. Samsung also says that, there will be Instant Win prizes for users, which is a trip for two to Napa Valley according to Slash Gear.

With the reward programs, the more purchase users make, the higher their status gets. The rewards works just like a points based credit card rewards program. There are three tiers: Silver, Gold and Platinum. User will get Silver status if they log five transactions which offers twice. And, for Gold status, users needs to make up to 20 transactions in a month. As for silver, the status must begin at 30 transactions in a month and gives users four times the points on every purchase of anything.
