Meghan Trainor has been advised to go on "strict vocal rest" for two weeks by her doctor making her cancel all her scheduled concerts and live performances abruptly until the end of the year. Apparently, Meghan was not feeling well despite performing in a slew of concerts and appearing at the iHeart Radio Jingle Ball in Los Angeles. She thought she could breeze through her tight schedule for the rest of the month but doing so could worsen her condition.

MTV was one of the first to report the 22-year old singer's condition after she updated her fans via her Instagram account around morning of December 8. She said that she was not feeling better since last week and her doctor told her to rest for the next two weeks.

She wrote: "This absolutely kills me because I was so excited to see all of you on the road." She added that she would be returning home ASAP and she appreciates all the support and the love of her followers. Meghan can't wait to be back in 2017.

This is not the first time that the "All About That Bass" singer had to cancel performances because of health issues. In 2015, Meghan had vocal cord hemorrhage and had to have surgery. She cancelled her MTrain tour to fully recuperate.

Meanwhile, Perez Hilton also reported Meghan's condition and added that aside from her other performances, the singer will also be a no-show at the remaining Jingle Ball concerts scheduled for the rest of the Yuletide season.

Although the "Dear Future Husband" singer's fans would miss her this holiday season, they can expect a sensational comeback for the songstress next year. Rest is also good for Meghan since it will give her time to spend Christmas with her family and beau Daryl Sabara. Get well soon Meghan!
