Marvel has come up with a solution for every network's predicament when winter hiatus comes, as it normally does for holiday programming and staffs prod winter breaks. Over the years, networks have not come to the solution and instead allow the two weeks to one-month hiatus, postponing numerous shows and thus decreasing its viewership. But it seems the creative minds of Marvel have found a solution to that and will be trying out its newest digital TV series, rooting it from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D series.

The winter season finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D not only did it gave a heart-stopping end for Robbie Reyes aka' the Ghost Rider, but it paved way for the introduction of its spinoff. As Polygon reports, the Inhuman with fast running powers will be the star of Marvel's solution to make the viewers remember the series of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D while it is on hiatus for the holidays. Elena Rodriguez aka' Yo-Yo will be starring in the new digital TV series of Marvel titled Slingshot or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Slingshot in a six-part miniseries which will premiere on December 13.

Slingshot will be featuring the events around Season 3 and 4 where Elena Rodriguez received injustices from her past and is taken into revenge. According to Blastr, since she has super power abilities, she is bound by the rules of Sokovia Accords thus hindering her to fully go on with her plans. Yo-Yo's character will be in so much pain and anger over what has happened to her in past but she is as special as she is not blinded by her anger.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Slingshot is for online viewing only which can only be streamed through ABC app and ABC.com for a limited time only. And although the three-minute film using equipment and sets already available to the studio and actors would cost relatively low, the show could still generate a decent amount of advertising revenue. Viewership is still important to maintain when network's profit comes ahead of the game.
