Android is always making exciting updates to attract the smartphone users. The all new Android 7.1.1 Nougat is the latest addition to this trend. This new version of Android has been launched in Google Pixel and Pixel handsets and in the whole set of Nexus devices, which are in the leading row of smartphones of the new generation.

According to Android Police, at the end of 2016, Nexus devices and Pixel C will receive a developer preview for Android 7.1 Nougat. Devices which have been enlisted in the Android Beta Program will get the final version. Android 7.1.1 has been developed on API level 25 platform, introducing a set of new features and optimizations and also making bug fixes.

The all new exciting features of Android 7.1.1 include GIF keyboard and new emojis. According toGamenGuide the emojis speak for gender equality and racial neutrality, featuring women in a wide range of professions and adventures, and also different skin tones in GIF pictures.  With Android 7.1.1, Google keyboard is enabled with the feature of finding GIFs quickly; but presently this is available for Messenger only, not for Whatsapp or Hangout.

Another amazing feature is that Android 7.1.1 Nougat has Launcher shortcuts, to allow the user to find useful functions by pressing an app icon for a while. It makes the use of smartphone apps even easier and simpler.

Now, a restart setting can be found on the Android power menu; holding the power button will give this option to the user. There is also a Moves menu in the settings, allowing the user to choose functions simply by gestures like twisting the wrist or lifting the phone! Android 7.1.1 also introduces a camera app, featuring automatic focus lock and automatic exposure.

Those who are already having Android 7.0 Nougat, will soon receive the updates of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. For up gradation, the users will have to follow a few steps to install the firmware officially sent by Android notifications. It is recommended to do app testing for the new Android 7.1.1 in the Firebase Test Lab for Android. The tests can be done on the cloud platform for free, until the end of December.
