"Steven Universe" is not cancelled! Fans have began to worry that their favorite Cartoon Network series has been cancelled because writers, creators and even the network are unusually silent after 'Three Gems and a Baby.' The show is not airing new episodes because it is making way for Cartoon Network's Christmas shows and specials. And if that's not good news, here's more.

According to iTech Post, "Steven Universe" will resume after the holidays and will come back with 4 new episodes this January. Leaked information showed that a total of 17 more episodes have been planned for the season before the show transitions to season 5. Details were also provided for the said initial 4 eps saying that there will be an episode dedicated to Rose Quartz, possibly her backstory and about Pearl.

Pearl will have her own episode and rumored to be featured with the diamonds with a possible new song. Viewers actually love the songs featured in the show and this was one of the reasons why most viewers miss Steven and the Gems. If these rumors are indeed true, there will be a great New Year for all "Steven Universe" fans.

GAMENGUIDE reported that fans were actually speculating that "Steven Universe" was about to be cancelled by Cartoon Network with the noticeable change in its story lines. Lately it has tackled more sensitive issues and has somehow left plots that attracted younger viewers.

There was also news that "Steven Universe" has failed to live up to ratings that it once had during the early part of the year and thus Cartoon Network wants it down. Scheduling problems, behind the scenes issues and other problems were also cited but it looks like all these will remain rumors as new episodes will soon be on the way.
