Kim Kardashian and Ray J Sex Tape: Singer Says He Will Give His Profits From Video as Gift for Kim and Kanye's Wedding
The famous sex tape with singer Ray J and Kim Kardashian may have lost some of its luster, but Ray J and Kim are still making profits off of it.
Now, Ray J wants to give back some of the profits to the woman he slept with on camera. Ray J is reportedly giving around $47,000 as a wedding gift to Kardashian and Kanye West. The amount represents the rapper's profits from January to April of this year.
TMZ first broke the story on the reported gift. TMZ even broke down the sex tape's profits by month:
- January: $6,135.60
- February: $20,097.31
- March: $9,674.76
- April: $10,931.52
Vivid Entertainment, the company behind the steamy sex tape, claims the video has gained $50 million in sales since it was released seven years ago.
If Kim and Kanye don't accept the gift, Ray J will donate it to Kim's favorite charity.
Monday, Ray J responded to the reports of the donation on Twitter saying "Don't believe everything you read about me #LiES."
If Ray J indeed plans to give the couple his profits from the sex tape, it isn't likely that Kim is eager to relive painful memories of the past. Kanye surely doesn't want anything to do with the money, especially since it's from his wife's dirty deed with another man.
In 2013, Kanye dissed Ray J on a performance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." He changed the lyrics of a song to deliberately take a shot at Ray J.
The Kim and Kanye wedding is planned for May 24 in Florence, Italy. Many can't wait for the wedding and many can't wait for it to be over.
The sex tape for Kim started her instant rise to fame.
Ray J, on the other hand, has maintained a relatively low profile. He's still making music, but he has nowhere near the high profile that Kim and Kayne have.
