Adidas is planning to launch a brilliant, mind-blowing app that will turn your unique Instagram snapshots into sporty kicks.

"Adidas announced Friday [May 16] that thanks to a 'ultra innovative' photo print app, to be released on iOS and Android this August, users will be able to customize and purchase pairs of Instagram-printed Adidas ZX Flux sneakers," Daily Digest News reported.

The athletic apparel giant also took to its Instagram account to tease the upcoming promotion: "Print your favorite photos straight on to one of 2014's hottest silhouettes and make a statement on your sneakers like never before."

In other words, customers will soon be able to simply "capture the world's moment" with the popular online photo-sharing social networking service, pick their favorite filter, and design their shoes via revolutionary Adidas Photo Print App.

Regular ZX Flux sneakers currently retail for around $90. Although Adidas has not yet revealed how long the promotion will be available for, what the price will be or how the app will work, it has been speculated that the cost will still likely be under $200, even with the Instagram photo customization.

Earlier this month, Adidas Originals Design Director Sam Handy hinted at the forthcoming Instagram project. "I don't want to give too much away but we've got stuff planned in Adidas that we should be able to announce in the next few weeks," he said. "It's gonna be a real game changer in customization, like something mind-blowing and new."
