This past weekend, David Moyes made huge news when it was announced that Manchester United had purchased Juan Mata from Chelsea. The move represented a huge step forward for Moyes, who has struggled as manager of United in his first season.

While Mata is a nice addition, Moyes may be ready to make his best move yet. According to reports, the United manager may be looking to pry Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old is under contract with the European Champions until 2015, but extensions have not worked out for the two sides thus far.

Kroos seems a bit understanding about his situation with his current club.

"I can't rule out anything," he said, according to ESPN. "No talks are planned in the near future. I am fully focused on the Rueckrunde [second part of the Bundesliga season] now.

"There are worse situations in life. I play for a top club, and under a top coach. I am pleased, and sometime in the future a decision will be made."

Kroos has played in 17 games for Munich this season and has one goal and three assists. The youngster has had to compete for his spot with the likes of Mario Goetze, Thomas Mueller and Thiago Alcantara and it is likely that this will become an even bigger problem in the future as the other players start to play more prominent roles in the team's offense.

Kroos would be another major midfield addition for United and would likely compliment the Mata acquisition.
