Donald Sterling was banned from all basketball activities on April 29 by Commissioner Adam Silver.

Since then, we've all been waiting for a vote that will take place on June 3 to determine if Sterling will remain as the full-time Los Angeles Clippers owner. He has been the Clippers owner since 1981. He was also fined the league maximum of $2.5 million. A three quarters vote is mandatory to oust Sterling from ownership due to damaging the league. Over the last few weeks various owners and league members have voiced their opinion and have shown displeasure towards Sterling.

Currently, Donald Sterling is still the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. We've seen time and time again, Sterling settle out of court for his issues. It appears as if he may be trying to do the same thing here to a certain degree. Sterling knows he has absolutely no control in any basketball matter and if a vote would take place on June 3 he would get voted out in a heartbeat. This is an agreement between Mr. and Ms. Sterling, not the Sterling's and the NBA.

According to ESPN, Donald Sterling is not allowed to transfer ownership to anyone else, not even family. The only way he would be allowed to is if the NBA board of governors approved this and bent the rules. Most likely, the only reason they would allow that is if she would agree to sell the team.

Will the NBA agree to these terms or will the Sterling's settle again? Donald Sterling wants anything but a vote because it would mean more money within his family and he knows he would be terminated easily by other owners. Shelly Sterling is not the owner of the Clippers, but is fighting to get the team with her husband's advice. Sterling has also yet to pay the $2.5 million fine handed down by the NBA.
