Jessica Korda showed the golf world why she can't be underestimated by the field and by fans.

The 21-year-old won the 2014 Airbus LPGA Classic this past weekend in an exciting showdown between other experienced golfers. This is Korda's second win of the 2014 season, the first being the Pure Silk-Bahamas Classic back in January.

This event was played in Mobile, Alabama (as it is every year) and it came down to the final day to determine a winner. Catriona Matthew, out of Scotland, was the leader after the first day when she shot a 64, good enough for eight shots under par. Matthew is 44 years old.

After the next two days (which is referred to as "moving day" in golf) the field widened and cuts were made. The elite golfers stood out among others. One of those was Swedish golfer Anna Nordqvist, who was 16 under heading into the final day. Jessica Korda was 13 under after Saturday and her odds of winning didn't look very high. Many counted her out and didn't believe she had a chance.

On the final day of the Airbus LPGA Classic, Korda shot seven under par to take the outright lead and win the tournament by a single stroke. Her final score was a remarkable 20 under par. Nordqvist shot three under on Sunday, bringing her score to 19 under par.

It wasn't just a tight 1-2 finish between Korda and Nordqvist. Three other golfers finished 18 under par just two strokes behind Korda for the lead. Korda's 65 on the final day was the best score of anyone on Sunday proving that young age can't hold you back in high pressure situations. Michelle Wie finished in third place as well.

Wie and Korda said they "enjoy" playing with each other and it "was a lot of fun."

Of course, winning and having fun is part of the game, but these golfers will also take home a high purse as well. The top 70 golfers will also receive financial compensation. Korda got $195,000 for finishing in first place, the same amount she collected in January for the Pure Silk Bahamas victory. Second place finisher Anna Nordqvist, received over $120,000.

Korda's first win came at the 2012 Australian Open and she now has three wins under her belt. At just 21 years of age, she has a bright future ahead of her and so does women's golf.
