Over the weekend (February 17 to 19, 2017) top 10 movies hit the U.S. Box Office. Know what movies and check if the one who have watched made it to the top 10.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Lego Batman" Movie ruled the February 17 to 19, 2017 weekend at the US box office. The top grossing movie earned a whopping amount of $34.2 million to become the number 1 film for the second week in a row, according to estimates.

In line with this, rounding out the top five films for the February 17-19 weekend were "Fifty Shades Darker" ($21 million), "The Great Wall" ($18.1 million), "John Wick: Chapter 2" ($16.5 million), and "Fist Fight" ($12 million).

The movies that fall from six to ten were "Hidden Figures" ($7.1 million), "Split" ($7 million), "A Dog's Purpose" ($5.6 million), "La La Land" ($4.5 million), and lastly, "A Cure For Wellness" ($4.2 million).

"The Lego Batman" Movie came in with $34.2 million. Experiencing a drop of 35% from last weekend's $53 million, holding up well compared with "Fifty Shades Darker", which lost 55% to end with $20.97 million. The previous weekend's contest had been much closer, with the latter film managing $46.61   million. Going on to top the full week chart (taking $68.69 million to Lego Batman's $64.56 million presumably due to its popularity on Valentine's Day, when it took $11 million,Box Office Mojo has learned.

"The Lego Batman" Movie and "Fifty Shades Darker" repeated as number 1 and number 2, respectively, as they held those spots last weekend as well.

Both movies have defeated "The Great Wall", the Zhang Yimou-directed fantasy action thriller  which arrived in America on the back of huge success in China (over $170 million) as well as an ongoing row about "whitewashing". The said movie was not expected to set the US box office alight, and performed accordingly, taking $18.1 million to land in third - but for a film budgeted at $150 million.

A notable miss this weekend was the "Pirates of the Caribbean" director Gore Verbinski's new thriller titled, "A Cure For Wellness". The said movie opened to only $4.2 million with a reported budget of $40 million.
