"Empire" will soon feature Hollywood star Demi Moore as a recurring character. The Fox's hit drama series will introduce Moore in the Season 3 finale.

As per Variety, Moore will be palying the role of a mysterious nurse with a shadowy past. Her character will soon become "treacherously entangled with the Lyon family."

E! News noted that Moore hasn't been on the small screen since 2003. She appeared in a single episode of NBC's "Will & Grace", but it was not a recurring role. She was previously set to star in ABC's drama "10 Days in the Valley," but then it didn't work out. The project went to Kyra Sedgwick instead.

Moore's last recurring role on TV happened way back in the early 80s in ABC's medical drama "General Hospital". Interestingly, Demi Moore will be sharing the "Empire" series with her and Bruce Willis daughter Rumer Willis.

Willis will be a guest star playing the role of Tory Ash during the second half of "Empire" season 3. Unlike Moore, Willis has done several TV shows over the years, including Pretty Little Liars, Workaholics, and 90210.

Moore's story arc will be meatier in "Empire" season four and this season will only feature the character introduction. "Empire" has been renewed for a fourth season earlier this year.

There hasn't been any official news on whether the mother-daughter duo will share some screen space or their storylines will ever intersect or not. Talking about guest stars in "Empire" season 3, Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewife" fame will play the role of Charlotte Frost, who is the director of the state gaming commission.

Mariah Carey guest starred in this season of "Empire" and Nia Long will also play a role when the show returns. "Empire" season 3 will be back on Fox on March 22.
