Beyonce has cancelled her Coachella appearance as per advice of her doctor. She has to take it easy due to her fragile pregnant state. Minutes after she announced her cancellation, the secondary market for ticket sales of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival suffered a dip in prices. Tickets drop 12 percent just after the "Lemonade" singer's announcement.

Beyonce was scheduled to headline the annual music event on April 15 and 17 alongside Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead, Billboard reported, but she had to cancel two months before the event. The Queen Bey further announced that she will be in Coachella 2018.

As organizers for the annual music event scramble for Beyonce's replacement, ticket prices dipped. Weekend 1 tickets dropped 12 perfect from $978 to $872 while Weekend 2 tickets from $856 TO $834. AEG Live/Goldenvoice has yet to announce the artist that they have chosen to replace the "Irreplaceable" singer.

Meanwhile, as Beyonce's Coachella cancellation announcement went viral, her fans took to social media their anger and frustration, Entertainment Weekly reported. Some of her followers said that Beyonce was the reason they purchased tickets in the first place. Some called on people who would like to buy their tickets. There are also fans who are asking for a refund and should they fail to get their money back, they threaten Coachella organizers to get a good replacement for their Queen.

Coachella 2016 has drawn around 99,000 paying customers yearly. The Indio, California festival runs for two weekends with nearly 200,000 fans that pay $400 each for tickets. VIP tickets sell for $900 each. The event is not likely to give refunds since their tickets are subject to a clause that says "line-up subject to change, no refunds." When it comes to possible replacements, obvious choices would be Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Jennifer Hudson or Mary J. Blige.
