"The Walking Dead" is currently filming season 5, and co-executive producer Denise Huth has the behind-the-scene details on everyone's favorite zombie show.

"[Production] never gets easier," Huth told the AMC blog while laughing in an interview released today. "You'd think it'd become routine at a certain point, and it doesn't. It just gets bigger and harder. It's great, and it makes the show fun. It always feels like a new challenge ..."

Season 5 will inevitably bring "The Walking Dead" gang to new locations.

"We're out of the prison, and we're on the road and we will see a little more of Terminus," Huth revealed. "The [survivors] don't have a space to get back to, like the prison, so this year will be really brand new, which is exciting."

As usual, however, many of the show's scenes will be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. By now, the production team has learned to deal with the southern heat.

"The costume designer does a lot of things to wardrobe to help them cool down, like letting air come in or using cold packs," the producer explained. "Everyone is in danger of passing out. Thankfully, it works with the show because the characters are supposed to be hot and tired."

Huth also confirmed something that those behind "The Walking Dead," including fellow executive producers Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd, have teased: the season 5 premiere will take off right where the season 4 finale left off, answering questions and getting the season to a fast-paced start.

"It's about answering all those questions that fans have had all summer long and setting up where we're going for the rest of the year," Huth shared. "Scott Gimple is very good at laying in all these little details in the first few episodes that will pay off during the season."

Huth also promised that "there's a lot of story that will affect" Beth, Lizzie and Mike.

"Seeing them back together after everything they've lost will be really exciting," Huth said.

Season 5 of "The Walking Dead" beings on AMC in October, but some are still in awe over season 4. The Broadcast Television Journalists Association must be, as they've nominated Melissa McBride (Carol) for a Best Supporting Actress Award. She'll have to outshine fellow AMC star Anna Gun ("Breaking Bad"), as well as Christine Baranski ("The Good Wife"), Annet Mahindra ("The Americans"), Maggie Siff ("Sons of Anarchy") and Bellamy Young ("Scandal"). The winner will named on June 19.

"When Daryl was in the country club last season, all those pictures of the club presidents were pictures of our crew," Huth said of season 4. "A lot of times when we need photos that have to be used, so we use people from the crew. There are always tiny things like that where we won't highlight it too much -- it's more for the people who work on the show, but there will probably be a few this year."
