Mitsubishi unveiled its sportiest SUV, the Eclipse Cross ahead before officially debuting at Geneva motor show next week. The Japanese Car Company will be introducing its all-new model after several years, sporting Mitsubishi's new Turbo Engine of 1.5L.

The 2018 Mitsubishi's Eclipse Cross will still have a signature look of Mitsubishi's vehicle with a familiar grille and headlight design. The car company is clearly establishing a connection with its old Eclipse coup. But when looked inside the cabin, users will automatically notice it has much modern design and the new infotainment setup.

According to some reports, the Japanese brand car reportedly set to fill a gap in its soft-roader portfolio. Between the mid-sized Outlander with Eclipse Cross and baby ASX which will start to go on sale early 2018 in Australia. Mitsubishi released and shared that official images featuring the car's sharp-edged profile, Motor Trend reported.

The company also confirmed that the Mitsubishi's Eclipse Cross will be offering the new generation 2.2-litre turbo diesel or the 1.5-liter petrol four cylinder engine. Through the center touchscreen, car owners and drivers can select music, Apple CarPlay, Google Maps, and other functions.

Mitsubishi's Eclipse Cross will feature Super All-Wheel Control vehicle dynamics system and electronically controlled all-wheel drive transmission. The petrol engine of new Eclipse Cross' will hooked-up to a new variable transmission or CVT that have eight pre-set gear ratios, Auto Express has reported.

While the turbo diesel of Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will have a torque-converter automatic with eight gears. Reports claimed that the new Mitsubishi edition has stronger body and a three-point strut tower brace that further improves the overall rigidity and ensures it has a dynamic driving character to match its exterior styling.

But the final power output of this new car edition hasn't revealed yet, so car geeks and loyal owners of Mitsubishi can definitely look forward to this new edition. Many details are coming and will be revealed at the Geneva Motors show next week. Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will go head to head with Nissan Qashqai on early 2018.
