Apple senior vice president Eddy Cue told the Code Conference that the company's product releases through the end of the year will be "the best product pipeline" he has seen in 25 years.

Cue didn't reveal any details but expressed excitement on the company's efforts in the television, cloud storage and music areas.

"We don't try to do too many things. We want to do a few really incredible things," Cue said. "I believe certain products we've got coming are great."

Many think that Cue's comments are indicative of a wearable device as well as Apple's entry to a television set. If Apple tries out either, or both of these technologies, it will mark the first jump into a new product for Chief Executive Tim Cook, who took over in 2011.

Cue lauded Cook in a statement at the conference.

"I have been working with Tim since 1997. We started the online store together. Cook is extremely thorough, he has tremendous vision. He cares tremendously about building great products. Looking at the executive team, the reason we are successful is because of our focus. We are not smart enough to do 100 great things. We want to do a few incredible things, and that hasn't changed. We're going to keep going down that path ... Later this year, we've got the best product pipeline that I've seen in my 25 years at Apple."

2014 has been a very quiet year for Apple. The only major product to debut for the company was CarPlay, the technology that pair automobiles with Apple devices.

Cue criticized today's TV, saying it was a poor experience for viewers. He would not say how Apple would change it though.

If Apple TV continues to expand (Cue said it will), viewers can likely expect a better viewing experience.

"The experience has been stuck," Cue said, speaking Wednesday at the Code Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
