A trusted source in terms of iPhone things has been reporting that Apple is might be making the switch to a 5.8-inch OLED iPhone 8 screen display. Similar rumors that had been heard of an iPhone Pro and eventually, it never been materialized.

According to Tech Radar, Nikkei Asian Review has previously opposed the rumors of having a bigger iPhone and rather detailed that there would be three phones with a 4.7-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch screens. The rumors also propose that the prime handset will have a screen display of 5.8-inch with a curved display that accompanies with a little bezel.

Switching to OLED seems like the company is showing the next version of an iPhone yet, it looks like Apple has a lack of supplies that is why Apple is limiting and maintaining it the larger version of the phone. In specific parts of the screen will accommodate the new feature, which is Touch Bar-style function area that is in favor of Touch ID.

TNW reported that Nikkei did not mention any potential partners to construct the panels, but Apple was already said to have an arrangement between Samsung that the South Korean phone-maker will manufacture for 160 million of OLED panels for the new iPhone. If Apple's arrangements with Samsung will be successful, there will be enough sources of OLED panels in every iPhone screen in 2018.

Regardless of whether Apple will guarantee that iPhone will have a larger screen display than the iPhone 7 Plus and whether the Touch ID fingerprint scanner will be ditched will still remain to be seen. Increasing the price is expected for the next-generation iPhone with a prior report that was speculations the final price of $1,000. Unfortunately, it will likely need to hold up for a couple of more years before iPhone swaps out the prohibited Lightning connector with USB-C.
