A recent poll was taken by E-Poll Market Research in the effort to find out who the most hated man in America. The list had 10 familiar faces, all on there for certain reasons. Tax fraud, murder charges, racist remarks; the usuals make this list.

Three sports figures made the top 10.

Donald Sterling

No surprise here. Coming in at the No. 1 most disliked man in America is the longtime owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. Sterling gathered a 92 percent dislike rating among the voters. The 80-year-old businessman has a history of racist discrimination and he always settles his way out of it with cash. His latest controversial comments were caught on tape and that led to a lifetime ban from the NBA and a $2.5 million fine.

O.J. Simpson

Falling in at third place was Orthenal James Simpson. Simpson made his mark on the football field winning a Heisman Trophy in college while playing at USC and became a force in the NFL. Simpson became the first ever running back to rush for 2,000 yards in a single season, and he did it in just a 14 game season. Unfortunately, he is most remembered for what happened after his retirement, and it wasn't his acting career. Simpson was the center of the 1995 murder charge of his wife and, although found innocent, has since had legal issues that include taxes and robbery.

Aaron Hernandez

Hernandez is (or was) a tight end for the New England Patriots and, ever since his playing days at Florida, he's had issues. His biggest one obviously being the double murder charge that includes Odin Lloyd. Hernandez is still fighting this case, but it doesn't look very good considering there are multiple pictures of Hernandez holding a gun and his house was "cleaned" just after the murder. Rumors have been circulating that this all began from a spilled drink. He's also been in trouble while in jail and he saw his draft stock fall to the fourth round after he failed multiple drug tests in college.

The entire list is:

  1. Donald Sterling - 92 percent
  2. Bernie Madoff - 90 percent
  3. O.J. Simpson - 88 percent
  4. Conrad Murray - 88 percent
  5. Justin Bieber - 86 percent
  6. Phil Spector - 83 percent
  7. Aaron Hernandez - 81 percent
  8. Michael Lohan - 76 percent
  9. Eliot Spitzer - 73 percent
  10. Jon Gosselin - 71 percent
