Gaming giant Bethesda has confirmed that a Virtual Reality version is now available for "Fallout 4" and will be playable on the show floor during this year's E3 event, which, for the very first time ever, is open for viewing to the general public. Bethesda's Pete Hines has officially confirmed the news, as well as providing a status update on the game.

According to GameSpot, "Fallout 4" VR version was officially announced during E3 2016, alongside a VR version for Doom. Although Hines himself has admitted that doesn't play Virtual Reality games often due to motion sickness, he has also said that the has been hearing many encouraging things from game director Todd Howard.

Hines said in an interview that Howard told him about "Fallout 4" VR being "the most amazingly incredible thing that he will ever see in his life." Howard also told Hines that VR "Fallout 4" is going to be mind-blowing.

The VR version for "Fallout 4" will be released in 2017 for PC on HTC Vive, although a specific date has yet to be announced as of the moment. People are also still waiting for announcements on whether the game will be playable on other VR headsets such the Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR.

According to Futurism, Hines has also said that he's very much optimistic that the concept of Virtual Reality games is going to grow in popularity even further, though he doesn't think that it will completely take over and replace the traditional way of gaming.

While Hines said that he is 100% sure that VR will grow and establish itself as another medium of gaming, he also said that he doesn't like the idea of putting on a VR headset all the time and completely shutting everybody else out. Bethesda's E3 2017 introduction of "Fallout 4's" VR version will take place the evening of Sunday, June 11, 2017, following and earlier presentation by Microsoft.
