"I Hit It First" singer and Kim Kadashian's infamous sex tape partner Ray J was arrested on Friday at a swanky Beverly Hills Hotel for getting rowdy with police officers.

TMZ reported the 33-year-old singer allegedly became belligerent with the hotel staff, kicked out a patrol car window on his arrest and spit at an officer.

So what exactly caused Ray J's violent outburst?

Well, according to a statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department obtained by the Huffington Post, officers came to the hotel Friday evening to investigate a report that Ray J had inappropriately touched a woman at the bar.

Following the Police Department's arrival, Ray J agreed to leave the hotel bar but then later had a change of heart.

Ray J allegedly became unruly and then refused to leave. Police arrested the singer and took him into their patrol car. Ray J used his feet to shatter the patrol car window and even spit at the officer.

The Huffington Post reported that Ray J's charges include vandalism, resisting arrest and battery of a police officer.

So far, neither Ray J nor his reps have issued a statement regarding the incident.

In addition to being known as the man in the Kim Kardashian sex tape, Ray J is known for being the little brother of R&B singer Brandy.

At one point in his career, the controversial singer appeared in a series of reality TV shows, including "For the Love of Ray J," "Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business" and "Bad Girls All Star Battle," on which he appears as a host.

Ray J has also tried his hand in acting, first appearing on his sister's hit show "Moesha" and later appearing on UPN's hit show "One on One."

His most notable singles include "One Wish," "Sexy Can I," featuring Yung Berg, "Wait a minute" and his most recent "I Hit It First," rumored to be a song about his former beau, Kim Kardashian.
