"Phantom Dust" remastered has already confirmed for release, and it's something almost all expecting fans are knowledgeable about. It is even expected to arrive before the start of Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) for this year. Finally, the first screenshot of the game has been unveiled; giving fans a much-deserved preview.

According to Segment Next, the Xbox boss Phil Spencer, himself, shared the first ever screenshot from "Phantom Dust" remastered. The photo is taken directly while the game is running on Xbox One. It somehow projects the possibility of the game being limited to at least 30 FPS. Nonetheless, it can't be denied that the photo shares a very exciting piece of information.

Spencer clarified via Twitter that the "Phantom Dust" screenshot he shared is not taken from Project Scorpio, which most people thought of, that it came from Xbox One instead. And if this is the case, it's very likely that the newly improved 4K console will be able to efficiently increase the frame rate thus provide better visuals.

It is worth noting that the screenshot was from "Phantom Dust" remastered project, not the reboot. The latter, apparently, was cancelled. Nonetheless, the developers iterated in the past that they would be using some elements from the original game (in 2004). This is obviously a better idea than developing the game from the scratch, something that will take a huge amount of time and resources.

PC Gamer reports that "Phantom Dust" is expected to be launched on Xbox One and Windows sometime this year. Interestingly, Spencer -- who promised the release timeline - only unveiled the first screenshot of the game. This somehow confirms the game's upcoming release, which many believe to have been put aside once again.

"Phantom Dust" remastered will officially launch on Windows 10 Store with the description being a Play Anywhere game. This means that players can purchase it digitally for either Windows or Xbox One. They also have the option to grab a copy for the other platforms. As of now, no definite release date has been announced.
