After three years of waiting for "Attack on Titan" Season 2, fans are not just keen to see the thrilling episodes but also the love story arc between Eren and Mikasa. Moreover, "No Regrets," the spin-off of "Attack of the Titan" is set to be released in June.

In the previous season of "Attack on Titans," fans can't deny the chemistry between Eren and Mikasa. The series have three central characters which include Eren, Armin - Eren's best friend, and Mikasa - Armin's step sister, Inverse has reported.

Now that the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 arrived, fans are now wondering and keen to see how the relationship between Eren and Mikasa evolved. Avid fans of the series are excited when are the two will finally become a couple? Many fans have created drawings and scenes that involve Eren and Mikasa being romantic with each other.

But surely fans may feel disappointed after Hajime Isayama, the creator of the "Attack on Titan" Season 2, revealed that a romantic plotline may not be possible for Eren and Mikasa. In a recent interview, Isayama further hinted the fate of the two character in "Attack on the Titan."

Isayama revealed that Eren and Mikasa's relationship were more like of a mother and a son. It is undeniable that Eren sees and values Mikasa as a woman but he thinks that Mikasama reminded him how helpless he is without her.

So, for "Attack on Titan" Season 2, fans may not see the relationship of the two level up. As in the series, romantic or love interests is not the focus of the arc, it is about the actions scenes between the characters and the Titans.
