iOS 7 may be getting a bit long in the tooth; after all, Apple is set on announcing iOS 8 today. But that doesn't mean that the seventh version of the wildly popular OS is completely dead. Jailbreaks for iOS 7 exist, and they give iPhone users entirely new ways to use their favorite phones.

It's important to note that when you Jailbreak your device you can still use iTunes, make phone calls and do normal tasks. But, you're also able to access to a whole new set off Apps. These apps aren't in the regular App Store, though. Rather you need to use Cydia instead. Learn more about Cydia here.

The latest iOS Jailbreak is compatible with version 7.1. Previous reports of an iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak proved to be false. You can find more about the iOS 7.1 jailbreak here.

But if you do so, you may void Apple's warranty. Here's what Apple's support site states about installing non-authorized software modifications:

"Apple strongly cautions against installing any software that hacks the iOS. It is also important to note that unauthorized modification of the iOS is a violation of the iPhone end-user license agreement and because of this, Apple may deny service for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that has installed any unauthorized software."

Air Herald also warns potential 'Jailbreakees' that some jailbreak downloads are fake and can infiltrate your device with malware, trojans and other insidious viruses. If you choose to jailbreak, then do so at your own risk.

iJailbreak mentions an interesting jailbreak tweak called FlipFlop. This new tweak allows users to multitask more efficiently than using Apple's standard method. Instead of holding down the home button and waiting for all your active apps to open up, FlipFlop enables you to switch between your two most recent apps by double clicking. Effectively this reprograms the home button into allowing users to gain alt+tab functionality like seen on Windows machines.
