Canada has three prisoners on the loose following what can only be described as a Hollywood-made escape. Canadian police continue to search for the fugitives but their escape can be considered to be one of the most memorable this year.

At around 7:45 p.m. local time, three prisoners broke out of the Orsainville Detention Center near Quebec City in the Canadian province of Quebec. According to CBC, the three men have been identified as Yves Denis, 35, Denis Lefebvre, 53, and 49-year-old Serge Pomerleau. A spokesperson from the Sûreté du Québec (Quebec state police) added that the three escaped in a green helicopter heading west.

"We are talking closely with the detention centre to figure out exactly how the escape transpired," said Ann Mathieu, the police spokesperson. "The priority number one is to find the helicopter."

CBC reports that some of the escapees, if not all, have some ties to the Hell's Angels. One of the men, Lefebvre, was arrested in 2010 during a large anti-drug sting known as Project Crayfish. He was found with multiple weapons, 41 vehicles, a plane, a helicopter and $905,000.

The three men were in prison awaiting their trials, though the police did not specify what they were charged with. However, the police advise that anyone who sees the men should contact police immediately.

According to an update by the AP, police have widened their search to now include all of Canada and the United States. The helicopter, during the escape, landed on the courtyard of the prison, which is barbed-wired and has a watch post, and took off with the three men.

"We have co-operation with all the police forces across the country and abroad also," said Sgt. Gregory Gomez. "We have many, many officers who are scattering all the areas possible. Investigators are, of course, checking every lead."
