Miguel Cotto might have put on his best display of boxing on Saturday when he defeated Sergio Martinez.

Cotto dominated the fight from the first ring of the bell, knocking down Martinez three times in the very first round. With the victory, the 33-year-old improved to 33-4 and became the first ever Puerto Rican to win a world title in four divisions.

So what's next for Cotto? Here's five possible opponents for his next fight.

Marcos Maidana

Maidana surprised a lot of boxing fans last month when he went the distance with the undefeated Floyd Mayweather, boxing's biggest attraction. Maidana would lose the fight by majority decision. That fight had a lot of people talking about Maidana as a possible up and comer for the sport of boxing, but he still has more to prove. The 30-year-old from Argentina would make for a great match-up against Cotto and would bring in enormous worldwide ratings and views.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

These two fought back on May 5, 2012. It wasn't a super-fight, but it did go the full 12 rounds. Cotto gave Mayweather all he had, but Mayweather won via unanimous decision. Cotto has shown that he is willing to give into Mayweather's demands before and will fight only where he wants to. The two have also previously agreed on drug testing. This might play right into Mayweather's favor. Will Mayweather want to fight Cotto again? This remains to be seen.

Luis Abregú

Abregú isn't the most recognized boxer and he doesn't fight with the most flash. He also doesn't fight as often as most would prefer. However, his record speaks for itself: 36-1. This could be a great opportunity for two middle aged boxers to prove their worth and get a fight with the champion. Neither really has a clear advantage over the other, except the fact Cotto is three inches shorter.

Timothy Bradley

Bradley is one of the most underrated boxers today. He's a fast and quick hitter that has knockout potential. In Bradley's last fight, he was defeated by Manny Pacquiao in a rematch. According to reports, a Bradley-Cotto fight has already been talked about with promoters. This would be a good fight for fans to view as both have the speed and endurance to go the distance.

Manny Pacquiao

It's become painfully obvious at this point to boxing fans across the world that a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight just isn't going to happen. Floyd's refusal to offer the Pacquiao camp even more than 13 percent out of an estimated $300 million payout fight was the main reason. Moving forward, Pacquiao and Cotto could make for an interesting match. The two fought each other back in 2009, with Pacquiao victorious by TKO.
