2K Sports hasn't run out of new stuff to tease gamers with as they approach the Oct. 2 release of NBA 2K14. After a series of tweets, it seems that another new feature is coming to the game.

NBA 2K has been one of the most successful sports video game franchises, and with the upcoming NBA 2K14 release, gamers and sports fans alike are all waiting to see what the game has in store.

On Sunday, 2K Sports tweeted a hint to what could be a new highlight of the basketball game.

"#3R335 #NBA2K14," the official 2K Twitter account posted.

Just the day before, Ronnie Singh, the Digital Marketing Director of 2K, also sent out the same code on his Twitter.

"Pay attention.." Ronnie tweeted, followed by the same hashtags #3R335 and #NBA2K14.

Chris Manning, Community and Social Media Manager of 2K, also sent out the same code together with an image of him and Singh shooting something on a green screen. He also teased an announcement scheduled for next week.

All three Twitter accounts have since been posting about the code, encouraging gamers and fans to break the code. Now, it may be a bit hard to decipher what a bunch of threes mean in the video game, but if previous codes for the game mean anything, we're sure #3R335 is something big.

In May, Singh also sent out a tweet including the hashtag code "#SixSix13" which later on meant LeBron James, number 6 of the Miami Heat, making it in the cover of NBA 2K14.

A few of the fans pitched in their thoughts on #3R335. Guesses range from the crew mode making a comeback to 2K14 to more precise features like a Phil Jackson Path to Greatness Mode. According to Bleacher Report, the mode was previously announced together with James being on the cover. Now it seems fans have created a theory that would prove Phil's inclusion in the NBA 2K14. Check out the tweet by Max Rizer below.

To find out what #3R335 mean, we'll have to wait until next week when 2K Sports reveals what the new game feature is.
