Selena Gomez Focuses on Mental Health With Wondermind

In the interview with God Morning America, the "Same Old Love" singer talked about her new venture with her mother, Mandy Teefey, and Newsette co-founder, Daniella Pierson, called Wondermind,

The trio opened up about the goals of the platform and how their journey led them to this concept.

"Wondermind is not just for people who have a diagnosed mental illness -- this is for anyone who has feelings," Pierson stressed, per GMA.

GMA noted that the platform will offer resources, including tools and exercises, that will allow subscribers to navigate contents that will help improve their mental health.

Pierson shared that every content in Wondermind is vetted by an expert committee of psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers with diverse backgrounds.

However, Pierson underscored that their platform is not a replacement for a therapist.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez acknowledged that there are places people can check if they need help with their mental health, but they cost a lot of money.

The singer shared that she wants Wondermind to be a safe place for people struggling with mental health, just as how Planned Parenthood became a space for women to feel understood.
