Sons of NBA legends Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O'Neal have recently been making waves in the sports scene.

It seems like Scotty Pippen Jr. and Shareef O'Neal are adding more basketball glitz into their family name as they are both gunning for a place in the same arena where their fathers initially stood out.

With the NBA Summer League finally enlisting the two, talks on who is more likely to be drafted soon are getting louder.

Scotty Pippen Jr. and Shareef O'Neal on NBA Summer League

The Los Angeles Summer League roster has recently onboarded the sons of NBA Hall of Famers Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O'Neal.

Standing 6-foot-3-inch, Scotty Pippen Jr. is definitely a chip off the old block. The 21-year-old shooter was undrafted out of Vanderbilt and just signed a two-way contract with the G League South Bay Lakers, ESPN reported.

On the other hand, O'Neal's 6-foot-10-inch son was no stranger to the court as this was his second time wearing yellow and purple; the first was at Louisiana State University, where he spent two seasons.

The two are now at the center of attention as they were both included on the same summer league roster of what The Guardian described as basketball's Coachella Festival. Despite being the sons of NBA superstars, the two seemed to be aware of the pressure they were under.

"Going through this whole process since we were little kids, there's always a different type of pressure on us, I would say," Pippen Jr. noted.

For Shareef O' Neal, the pressure was not a problem. He said: "Every kid is going to get compared to their dad who does the same thing as them. So that's going to be there. It doesn't bother me."

Scottie Pippen's 'Proud Moment' After Son's Lakers Inclusion

Despite not being enlisted in the 2022 NBA Drafts, Scotty Pippen Jr. remains headstrong as he signed a two-way deal with Los Angeles Lakers' Summer League.

The Chicago Bulls superstar turned father of seven took to Twitter to share his reaction to the awesome news.

"I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to see what's next. I wore purple in HS and college, and I'm ready to wear it again! #Lakers," Scottie Pippen wrote.

Shaquille O'Neal Didn't Want Shareef O'Neal Joining NBA?

Over to the O'Neal household, Shareef O'Neal revealed that his dad has some reluctance about him entering the 2022 NBA Draft, People Magazine reported.

"He wanted me to stay in school... He knows I'm working out with teams. But I'm not going to lie, we ain't talked about this. I'm kind of just going through it," the 22-year-old Shareef told the outlet.

He also told ESPN: "I know he probably doesn't want me saying this, but sorry. We're both grown. We'll get past it."

Scotty Pippen Jr. vs. Shareef O'Neal: Who's Future Is Looking Brighter?

While the two shares the similar glitz their name brings, one's future in court might be more guaranteed than the other. Scotty Pippen Jr. is already making strides in his basketball career after making a solid impression in Vegas with his court vision, passing ability, and affinity for Jose Alvarado-esque steals.

But for Shareef O'Neal, he has to "grind" more than his father did, especially with his health condition that might be a problem to his stamina.

Shaquille O'Neal's son underwent open-heart surgery in 2019 and suffered a foot injury last year, but he still appears to be finding himself back on the court despite these complications.
