Isidoro Quiroga is a Chilean businessman known for his managerial acumen and his keen eye for investment opportunities. He has drawn the attention of the global business community more than once in recent years for orchestrating some of the most successful business movements of the decade.

These include the acquisition and sale of Australis Seafoods in Chile and Enphase Energy in California. Quiroga's experience in international business and his agility as a manager played a critical role in each company's unprecedented growth, leading to 9-figure returns on his investments.

Now, the eyes of the business community are once again on Isidoro Quiroga as he considers his next investment. The businessman is said to be eyeing energy and tech companies in Silicon Valley. It seems that Quiroga may be looking for a repeat of his successful stint as the owner of Enphase Energy

Given his uncanny record of success, that is not an unlikely scenario.

Isidoro Quiroga: A Lifetime of Successful Investments

Isidoro Quiroga is the founder and CEO of the holdings company Asesorias e Inversiones Benjamin S.A.-one of the most successful firms in South America. But Quiroga's business career began modestly.

He undertook his first successful venture not long after graduating from the University of Chile with a degree in commercial engineering. He took a big risk at a young age by importing the kiwi fruit to Chile. The fruit was largely unknown at the time, so Quiroga was responsible for developing supply chains internationally and within Chile while also carving out a consumer market for his product.

The success of his kiwi venture allowed him to continue his investment career and expand his portfolio. He invested in real estate, tech, and mining, but soon found a focus in the energy sector. He spent much of the 80s and 90s reforming the energy sector in South America, serving as Director of major energy providers Pilmaiquén Electric Company and Soquimich.

Then, in the 2000s, he returned to the agriculture sector with the acquisition of Australis Seafoods.

Australis was a small Chilean Salmon farm when Quiroga joined the company. By 2007 he had acquired 100% of the company and began instituting major changes. He took Australis public on the Santiago Stock Exchange and used his experience in international supply chain management to cultivate new markets around the globe. In 2017, Quiroga sold Australis Seafoods to Chinese firm Joyvio for a record $880 million.

Quiroga didn't pause for a moment of rest. In the same year that he sold Australis Seafoods, he acquired Enphase Energy, a small renewable energy firm based in California, for $20 million. His experience in the energy sector proved invaluable to the small company. Over the next 3 years, Enphase Energy experienced a hyper-growth phase, and its value grew by over 3000%. Just a few years after acquiring the company, Quiroga sold it for $820 million-walking away with a $735 return on his investment.
