Adrien Broner is looking to face Robert Guerrero in his next fight later this year, and is also eyeing a rematch with Marcos Maidana, who is the only fighter to defeat the former welterweight champion.

Broner, who is coming off a lopsided unanimous decision win over Carlos Molina last month, watched the fight between Guerrero and Yoshihiro Kamegai on Saturday.

Guerrero scored a unanimous decision win, but Broner was not impressed and he feels that he can handle the 31-year-old California native if they ever square off inside the ring later this year.

"Hopefully, we can make that fight happen," Broner said of the possible fight with Guerrero, East Side Boxing reported.

If they fail to arrange a fight against Guerrero, Broner is also interested in facing Marcos Maidana in a rematch later this year; he is still aching to avenge the lone defeat of his boxing career.

The 24-year-old Broner took his first loss when Maidana ran away with a convincing unanimous decision win in their WBA welterweight title showdown in December last year.

However, Maidana is reportedly not yet thinking about a rematch with Broner because he and his camp are focused on a possible second showdown with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Maidana gave Mayweather one of the toughest fights -- if not the toughest -- of his career last month before the reigning pound-for-pound king escaped with a close split-decision win.

Maidana's manager, Sebastian Cortusi, said in an interview with BoxingScene that he is scheduled to sit down with Al Haymon in hopes of getting Mayweather to commit to a rematch in September.

"I have to talk to [Mayweather's adviser] Al Haymon this week and sit and discuss what's ahead, if Floyd's going to keep his word and give Maidana a rematch, but we haven't discussed that yet," Contursi said.

Contursi admitted, though, that they will have a hard time negotiating for the terms of the upcoming rematch, including the gloves to be used, now that Maidana is not a world champion anymore.

"It's going to be a hard one," Contursi said. "The bad thing about that is that this time, Marcos is not currently a world champion, so that makes us a little weak when it comes to negotiating, but I think Maidana is going to perform much better than he did last May with or without the Mexican gloves."
