Antonio Brown to Pay $1.2 Million to Moving Truck Driver in Assault Case

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, Antonio Brown, was ordered to pay $1.2 million to a moving truck driver after he was accused of attacking the driver in February 2020.

Fox News reported that Brown did not show up to any hearings or respond in the case of the assault, as court records revealed.

The alleged victim was Anton Tumanov. The jury concluded that the moving truck driver should be awarded amounting to $407,040.80 in medical expenses and $792.959.20 in damages for pain and suffering.

Brown faced three charges on the matter but worked out a deal with prosecutors in June 2020. The former Tampa Bay player agreed to probation, community service hours, and anger management courses, among others.

In 2021, Tumanov sued Brown, and former NFL receiver Glenn Holt was also named as a defendant. At the time, Holt was Brown's trainer.

Tumanov sued Brown after he accused the former Buccaneers receiver of beating him up while he was trying to make a delivery to the football player's home in Broward County, Florida, according to a TMZ report.

Tumanov was represented by Jeffrey R. Davis and Michael Lotto in the case. He claimed that Brown snapped at him when the two got into a dispute over payment for the delivery services.

The moving truck driver said the NFL player damaged his vehicle and struck him multiple times. He noted in the lawsuit that it caused him "severe bodily injuries."

Tumanow noted that he was attacked by Brown and Holt after they did not want to pay $4,000 for delivering the items.

Holt, at the time, was arrested, while Brown reportedly locked himself in his home and turned himself in days later.

Brown later pled no contest and was sentenced to two years of probation, which was then cut short, as reported by Yahoo Sports.

Brown has not been in a good light as of late, with a recent incident of him showing fully nude at a hotel pool. He was also reported to be mocking his former teammate, Tom Brady, amid the Buccaneers quarterback's marital issues with his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen.

Brown was reported to be selling t-shirts of himself hugging Bündchen. He then announced the merch through Twitter and attached a video of the Super Bowl moment.

Marca News noted that Brown tweeted that all proceeds from the shirt sales will go to "supporting America's fatherless kids," which was supposed to be a jab at Brady for choosing to unretire instead of spending his time with family.

Brady has not reacted publicly regarding the latest post after the Buccaneers lost to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Brown shared a photo, "Daddy Doesn't Live Here Anymore: A Book About Divorce," with Brady's face photoshopped onto one of the characters. It was a book with an altered cover.

A source once noted that the separation between Brady and Bündchen was not due to the quarterback's decision to return to NFL.
