Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen seemed to get through the divorce process smoothly.

According to court documents acquired by E! News, the divorce between the 42-year-old supermodel and the 45-year-old NFL quarterback was finalized on October 28.

A source told the outlet that the former couple immediately worked out the settlement details after everything was agreed upon.

"There was no reason to wait... They're both ready to move on and move ahead," the insider said as the source explained how it happened so quickly.

The insider also said that Brady and Bundchen agreed on joint custody and dividing their assets. Even though Brady and Bundchen are not married anymore, they will still raise their children together.

Brady and Bundchen have a 12-year-old son named Benjamin and a 9-year-old daughter named Vivian. Brady also has a 15-year-old son named Jack with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

According to the source, the former couple plan to co-parent and keep things drama free for their children.

"It's a sad day, but it's also a relief to have the settlement wrapped up. They've known this was coming, and it's time to move on," the insider added.

In a statement she posted on her Instagram on Friday, Bundchen said she and Brady divorced because they had "grown apart" after 13 years of marriage.

"The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," Bundchen noted.

The Brazilian supermodel concluded her statement by asking for privacy as the family goes through this "difficult time."

Tom Brady also released a statement on his Instagram Story, saying he and Bundchen "arrived at this decision amicably."

"We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve," the NFL pro wrote.

TMZ reported that the documents said both Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen "restored to the status of being single and unmarried."

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady Before Divorce

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen looked like a perfect couple, but the NFL player and the model earlier admitted that their relationship had ups and downs.

"I'm blessed to find this life partner that we all kind of seek at different times in our life," the Buccaneers' quarterback said in 2016 in an interview, according to Us Magazine.

Brady noted that they found each other at the right time and had been through many ups and downs in so many ways that made their relationship strong.

The NFL star said that he and Bundchen, who wed in 2009, have faced "challenges," but he also noted that they support one another no matter what.

"It's great to have that rock that you can always lean on that can support you in different ways that you need to," he noted.

In 2020, Bundchen revealed the secret that made their marriage thrive more than a decade later, Closer Weekly reported.

"As you know, men are very... They want a lot of attention... like children do, like your family, your friends. So I think the important part is to have fully present moments with everybody," she told Observer magazine.

"I think that leads to fulfillment because they don't have half of you, they have all of you in that moment and then they get recharged," she added.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady Divorce

Gisele Bundchen supported Tom Brady's football career. However, she recently indicated she hopes he retires.

Brady earlier said that his former wife told him on the field after his Super Bowl victory in Tampa in 2021, "What more do you have to prove?"

Bundchen has also frequently expressed concern for Brady's health about playing professional football. Brady did retire earlier this year but came back months later.

After that, signs of trouble in marriage cropped up. Ahead of the 2022-2023 season, the NFL star took some personal time off, leaving training camp for 11 days in August.

At the time, sources said Brady was dealing with his personal life. After that, there were rumors that Bundchen and Brady had hired lawyers to get a divorce and had given up on getting back together.

Tom Brady also went on to talk about how much he loved football and how he could not seem to pay attention to anything else when it was game time.

Meanwhile, Gisele Bundchen has reportedly been focusing on herself, relaxing, spending more time at the gym, and looking unbothered while her former husband's season unravels.
