Controversial wrestler and former UFC fighter CM Punk was previously involved in a backstage brawl with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. This led to him being stripped of his AEW world title and suspended by Tony Khan. Now, wrestling insiders are saying that he may be done with pro wrestling for good.

According to What Culture, sources close to the Second City Saint said they believe the Chick Magnet Punk will never compete in professional wrestling again.

Meanwhile, Nick Hausman reportedly told Wrestling Observer Radio's Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer that the real-life Phil Brooks is not short on money, as he currently has in-roads for potential work in Hollywood. He also confirmed that many insiders close to Punk have agreed that he will never wrestle again.

AEW Concludes Investigation on Brawl Between CM Punk and The Elite

The Wrestling Observer also reported that during AEW's post-All Out press conference, CM Punk, who just won the AEW world title at that time, made incendiary remarks about Hangman Page, Colt Cabana, and AEW Executive Vice Presidents Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. This resulted in the three EVPs approaching the then-world champion backstage, and this was where the brawl between them broke out, with Ace Steel joining in to help CM Punk out.

After the brawl, all those involved, including CM Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega, and the Young Bucks, were suspended. Since the suspension, Ace Steel has already been released and Punk was stripped of his AEW World Title. However, the Bucks and Omega are believed to be on their way back to AEW television.

Punk is still suspended but AEW is reportedly negotiating to buy out the rest of his contract. The heat on him in the AEW locker room has been described as "nuclear," with many not happy with his incendiary comments and recent actions.

CM Punk to Sue AEW and Tony Khan?

While CM Punk's AEW heat is nuclear right now, making his future in the company certainly not looking good, it does not seem that he will be going back to the rival promotion, WWE, as there is still friction between Punk and the McMahons, as well as Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

With AEW buying out his contract, many, including Dutch Mantell, raised the possibility of him suing AEW after he exits.

According to Ringside News, Mantell thinks that Punk might end up filing a lawsuit as Punk might think buying out his contract would not be enough.

"I still believe that they can talk all they want. And he can say whatever came in there and he could claim this and this. That's what AEW doesn't want. They don't want to take it down to a lawsuit." he stated.

Neither CM Punk nor Tony Khan have commented on the matter publicly as of writing.
