Amber Heard seemed to have her Twitter account removed after her ex Elon Musk becomes the new CEO of the social media platform.

It remains unclear when Heard removed her account, but multiple outlets took notice on Thursday that her Twitter account, @realamberheard, has been deactivated.

The screen on her page only shows "this account doesn't exist," according to a People report.

It was not immediately clear why Heard had shut down her account. Some Twitter users are guessing that she may have wanted a pause from the publicity of her defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp.

A representative for Heard has yet to comment on the matter while a representative for Musk said he and Heard did not start seeing each other until May 2016.

The representative added that even then, "it was infrequent," and that the relationship between the two did not become romantic until sometime later.

Amber Heard and Elon Musk Relationship

Amber Heard and Elon Musk met each other during the summer of 2012 while working on the set of the film Machete Kills, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez.

Heard played "Miss San Antonio" Black Vasque while the Tesla CEO and new chief of Twitter appeared in a cameo playing himself. The film was then released in 2013.

Musk divorced actress Talulah Riley and was finalized in 2016 while Heard filed for legal separation from Depp in the same year.

Depp then claimed in a lawsuit that his ex-wife had an affair with the billionaire "almost a month after" they married in 2015.

However, a spokesperson for Musk claimed that Heard and the billionaire did not start seeing each other until May 2016.

Heard and Musk was photographed in April 2017 hanging out together as a couple for the first time while visiting Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on Australia's Gold Coast.

During that day, Heard made things official on Instagram. However, later in August 2017, the two would announce that they had gone their separate ways, citing distance as a factor putting a strain on their relationship.

Elon Musk New Twitter CEO

Just before October ended, Elon Musk took control of the social media platform with the company's CEO Parag Agrawal, and other top executives removed from their position.

Finance chief Ned Segal and legal policy head Vijaya Gadde were also fired.

Musk tweeted on October 28 that "the bird is freed" in what seemed a reference to the takeover being finished.

Musk first proposed to buy the social media service in April, aiming to take it private. Later on, he expressed doubts about the deal and his intentions to push through with the agreement.

Twitter then sued the Tesla CEO when Musk announced that he would be terminating the deal. The social media company alleged the billionaire of refusing "to honor his obligations to Twitter and its stockholders" as the deal he signed "no longer serves his personal interests."

The billionaire then changed his mind and announced he would follow the acquisition deal.

Musk secured some debt financing from several investment banks to procure Twitter.
