The $754.6 million Powerball jackpot was won by a single ticket purchased in Washington for Monday's drawing, according to the Powerball website.

This prize was the ninth largest in U.S. lottery history and the fifth largest in Powerball history.

Predictions put the jackpot at $747 million, but real purchases pushed it higher, North Jersey says.

According to the Washington state lottery, the winning ticket was purchased from the Fred Meyer store in Auburn.

Alternatively, the lucky winner can take home $407.2 million in cash by selecting the Powerball cash option.

Powerball winning numbers drawn on Monday, February 6, 2023, were: 5 - 11 - 22 - 23 - 69 and Powerball 7. The Powerplay was 2x.

The jackpot winner was not the only one who scored big; six other tickets matched all six white balls to earn million-dollar rewards, too.

A total of six winning tickets were purchased: three in New York (Greenvale, Hicksville, and Manhattan), two in Michigan (Lansing, online), and one Powerball winner in Texas (Houston) won $2 million by including the Power Play option for an additional $1 per play.

The last person to win the jackpot was a Kansas lottery player on November 19. They took home $92.9 million.

This means that Wednesday's Powerball drawing will have a new prize of $20 million.

Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday night's drawing is currently at $31 million, with a cash option of $16.6 million.

Powerball Jackpot Winner Still Not Claiming the Prize

The Powerball jackpot winner has yet to come forward to claim the prize, according to the officials.

It is the second time a winning Powerball ticket has been purchased in Auburn, Washington, and both times the winner has come from the state of Washington.

A $1 million Powerball ticket was bought in the Spokane area in November 2022 but has yet to be claimed, per Fox 13.

The game's horrendous odds of 1 in 292.2 million are purposefully high, so larger jackpots can be offered.

It has been paying off: in January, a player in Maine claimed a $1.35 billion Mega Millions reward, and in November, a player in California won a record $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot. Both of the rewards have yet to be claimed.

How to Play Powerball Lottery

Powerball tickets are only $2 each. Five white Powerball winning numbers between 1 and 69, plus one red Powerball number between 1 and 26, are selected randomly or by the player. You need to match the five white balls and the red to win the Powerball jackpot.

Powerball also provides eight additional chances to win a reward throughout the game's non-jackpot tiers based on the number of balls matched.

Non-jackpot rewards range from $4 up to $1 million, and players can pay an extra $1 for the chance to participate in "Powerplay" and increase their odds of winning.

Money won in games besides the jackpot can be increased by a factor of Powerplay, which can be 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10.

If the jackpot is below %15 million, you can play using the 10X Powerplay option.

The "Match 5" tier 2 reward in Powerball is $2 million for the Powerplay.

After each Powerball drawing, players in some jurisdictions can pay an extra $1 for an add-on feature called "Double Play," giving them a second chance to match their numbers.

The Powerball drawing takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at around 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Powerball is played in 45 states, plus DC, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
