Michael Jordan just turned 60 years old, and he was feeling very charitable as the 6-time NBA champion made a $10 million donation to Make-A-Wish America. This sets the charity's record for the highest individual contribution in its 43-year history.

Michael Jordan has been known for his charities, though this one he made for his 60th birthday may be the largest one so far. He had been performing wishes for kids with terminal or critical illnesses since 1989 and has fulfilled hundreds of wishes for the charity, according to Georgia Public Broadcasting.

The former Chicago Bull and Washington Wizard released a statement, saying, "For the past 34 years, it's been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids."

He added that seeing the strength and resilience of these kids as they go through a tough time in their lives has given the NBA legend much inspiration.

Michael Jordan Will Be Very Busy During His 60th Birthday

Michael Jordan is currently the owner of the Charlotte Hornets and he has been named a Make-A-Wish ambassador back in 2008, according to CNN. He is also the owner of 23XI Racing (pronounced twenty-three eleven NASCAR team), with Bubba Wallace serving as their driver. He co-owns the team with NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin and has owned the team since 2020.

He is expected to be at the Daytona 500 during his 60th birthday and cheer for Wallace. However, aside from his charity, his NBA team, and his NASCAR team keeping him busy, "His Airness" also has several big businesses he has to run.

Michael Jordan Movie in the Works Starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon

That is not all that Jordan is working on as he approaches 60 this Friday, as "His Airness" is also working on a new movie. However, he will not be starring in it personally, much like what he did in "Space Jam." Instead, it will star Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and it would be a reunion movie of sorts for the two Hollywood A-Listers.

Affleck, fresh off his hilarious Dunkin Donuts Super Bowl commercial, will direct the film and it will be titled "Air." It follows the story of Sonny Vaccaro who is trying to pursue burgeoning basketball star Michael Jordan to pursue a shoe deal with Nike.

The film will also star Viola Davis as Michael Jordan's mother, who played a big part in the deal that would change sports history. The star-studded cast will also include Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Marlon Wayans, and Chris Tucker.
