Fans and friends mourn Lance Reddick's death. He had roles in popular shows, including "The Wire," "Fringe," and "Bosch," as well as movies like "John Wick: Chapter 4," the fourth installment of the "John Wick" film series, which will be premiered next week. He was 60.

Reddick returns as Charon, the Continental Hotel concierge in New York City, in the upcoming "John Wick: Chapter 4," scheduled for release on March 24, per Variety.

Charon assisted the unretired hitman played by Keanu Reeves, taking care of John's pet dog in the second film and participating in the gunfights in the third.

Reddick was also supposed to appear in the upcoming "Ballerina" spinoff, which stars Ana de Armas.

Lance Reddick Cause of Death

Lance Reddick passed away from natural causes early on Friday, his representative Mia Hansen told USA TODAY in a statement.

"Lance will be missed," Hansen said.

Reddick was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 7, 1962. He attended Yale University's School of Drama for his formal theater training.

His first screen credit was for the 1996 TV series "New York Undercover."

After that, he appeared in several movies and TV shows during the '90s, including "The Nanny" and "The West Wing."

Reddick's big break came in Season 4 of HBO's "Oz," in which he played a hapless undercover detective sent to prison who becomes an addict.

He said that he was never interested in TV and always saw it as a means to an end, and he was only interested in acting in films and theater, like many actors.

However, "Oz" changed the television, said Reddick, stating that it marked the beginning of HBO's hegemony over innovative, cutting-edge art, things that remind you of the classic films of the '60s and '70s.

He said he grabbed the opportunity for "Oz" when it came, and when he read the pilot for "The Wire," he realized that he had to be on that show.

"John Wick" Actor Keanu Reeves Mourns Lance Reddick Death

Keanu Reeves is honoring the memory of Lance Reddick, a close friend, and former co-star.

Reeves and "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski issued a statement together on Friday after hearing of Lance Reddick death, according to ET Online.

"We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick," the pair said in their statement.

"He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife, Stephanie, his children, family, and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly," according to Lionsgate's statement, saying that Lance Reddick's unrivaled portrayal of Charon's humanity and unyielding charisma made "John Wick" films what it is today.

The statement also said they would remember Lance as their lovely, joyful friend and concierge rather than his indelible legacy and hugely impressive body of work, adding that they were stunned and heartbroken.

"Our deepest condolences go to his beloved family and his fans all around the world," the statement concluded.

Friends and fans took to Twitter to mourn Lance Reddick death.

Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie Reddick, and children, Christopher Reddick and Yvonne Nicole Reddick.
